haha this might be the first post of me talking about a japanese idol group. i was in japan last month for a japanese-idol-related job, yes, it's AKB48, they're like #1 idol group in Japan. i see these girls faces everywhere i go, they're on the Vending Machine, Billboards, Magazines, TV, everywhere! i didn't really know about AKB48 when i took this job a year ago. i thought they're just another asian dancing-and-singing-girlgroup sensation. (well, yes they are, but) it turns out that they're doing this idol-group thing which i still don't really know about it. this group has a lot of members (over 50 girls) which are divided into 4 groups, Team A, K, B, and 4. and they're doing this graduating-in-and-out members every year which reminds me of Morning Musume who came first before AKB48 (turns out Morning Musume are copying this idol system which is created by Yasushi Akimoto, the AKB48 producer, who have applied this system to an idol group, Onyanko Club in the 80's).

enough about the rambling, so for the last 1 year i learned a lot about this 48-idol thingy through wikipedia and my bosses in office *sigh*. the rules, formula, how they promote the group, sistergroups, theater setlist, etc. quite interesting, i must say, especially when you're in the crowd of idol group fans, the chants, lightsticks are unbelievablely fucking entertaining, you don't get that kind of excitement in hardcore/punk gigs. and i'm starting to netsurf to find interesting things from people like Mariko Shinoda, Ami Maeda, Jurina Matsui (SKE48), Anna Murashige (HKT48), etcetera etcetera. hahahaha. and then i found out about the AKB48's 1st generation members, yep there are only around 5 members left on that generation, one of them is Atsuko Maeda (Acchan), who always got center position on almost every AKB48 single. people called her "center girl" of a mascott of AKB48.

although i just got in this 48 idol stuff, it kinda saddens me to see her last performance on tokyo dome. because i saw her documentary (flower ga saku made) and some of her past performances and appereances on youtube hahaha. so i was kinda affected when i saw her performing songs with her old "1st generation" friends like "yuuhi wo mite iruka?", "bingo!", or "Yume No Kawa".

my blackberry was fucking restarting all the time so i purchased samsung galaxy s3 weeks ago. what a fucking sophisticated smartphone. here's a thing, i hate typing on touchscreen and also i have to charge the battery every 6 hours. lame. but i have to adapt with the gadget updates and touchscreens are everywhere, i think the future will be all touchscreen which i can't deny it. so yeah i have to learn typing on a flat digital keyboard. but the good thing is: i have an instagram account now. LOL. some iphone users hate it when instagram decided to expand the application to android, and guess what, now i'm one of those android users hahaha.

personally, i think most of instagram pictures are boring, well don't get me wrong, the pictures are good, but it's not interesting anymore. instagram used to be interesting but now everyone's doing it, same composition (suchas your-own-shoes picture, landscape, food), and there aren't much filter and editing options in it. okay okay but that's what instagram all about right? creating good, color-graded picture instantly. the good thing is instagram helps people to explore their artistic side on photography, instantly.

and now, i decided to be one of those boring people, HA! yes, #middlefingart is a project of mine which consisted of my right middle finger and instagram. here's a story behind it, I used to have an ordinary middle finger until 9th december 2003. ‪through instagram, i would like to make my middle finger useful again. #middlefingart will be running until the tenth anniversary of my "new" middle finger, which is on 9th december 2013. and no. i'm not inspired by ai weiwei's 'perspective'.

just received the latest issue of Majalah Cobra, turns out that my submitted video "smoking area." made it into the top 25 videos that got chosen as the magazine's bonus DVD titled "Video Semenit Lebih Sedikit 2012". they wrote my name wrong, as usual. (well, don't they remember that they did an interview with me in the previous issue? lol).

so there are 43 videos in the DVD, the interesting thing about this video compilation is most of the videos are length around one minute, just like the compilation title "Video Semenit Lebih Sedikit 2012" (One minute and a little more video? lol). so far my fave one's Jasser Alif's video "Berkat kamu aku tambah semangat". you gotta see it for yourself. get the magazine now! (IDR. 35.000).

PS Vita: because life's too hard to be a winner.

so lately, for the last few months i've been saving some money for my own my-bloody-valentine-esque guitar setup. so far fuzz and distortion is all that i've got. i don't even have my own electric guitar, (i have a squier jazz bass though) so i borrowed my friend's electric guitar...but...it's PRINCE. so yeah...uhmmm let's move on to the next topic :p

i haven't got any cheap analog delay for my shoegazing guitar setup. so in the meantime, i started a noisecore band with my friend, Wing (you might have seen the video earlier in this blog). which i play bass which is plugged to the fuzz and yeah...we suck live. 2 members of a local idol group saw our live video and they made fun of me. (don't tell anyone, i put their "making fun of me" footage on the official youtube..pssstt...) xD

i should've bought an electric guitar this month but i wasted my own money on ps vita instead. HAHAHA. Why did i bought PS Vita? I already have a portable game called "Life". Played that shit 24 hours a day and i'm always losing since the game difficulty's can't be changed. It's always above "very hard". The game can't be cheated either, i googled the web and it returns no results.

also no walkthrough at all. all i've got was a god damn tianshi brochure, mario teguh golden way shit, and extremism religion organization offerings. you'll have to choose your own way in "life".

SO THAT'S IT. I'VE REACHED MY LIMIT. FUCK "LIFE". I'M TIRED OF BEING A LOSER. I'M GETTIN' MYSELF A PS VITA. BYE. WINNING.
