this is the solo rap album of Tairrie B before she went to form Manhole/Tura Satana and My Ruin. The album was released in 1990 for Ruthless Records and distributed through MCA Records and was produced by Tairrie B, Schoolly D and Eazy-E.
Apalah maumu kasih
kau pilih diriku di dalam hidupmu
nyatanya kulihat kini
tak bisa kau coba untuk setia
sudah cukuplah sudah
ku memberikan waktuku
kau selalu tak bisa
mencoba untuk setia
chorus:
yang selalu ku inginkan
yang selalu ku nanti
kau coba untuk mengerti
apalah arti mencinta
dan harus kau sadari
bila ingin bersamaku
jangan coba kau ingkari
cobalah untuk setia
masih kah aku diinginkan
masihkah aku di dambakan
masih ada waktu bersamamu
bersamamu akan kujalani hidup
Separuh Jiwaku Pergi
Memang indah semua
Tapi berakhir luka
Chorus:
Benar ku mencintaimu
Tapi tak begini
Kau khianati hati ini
Kau curangi aku
Kau bilang tak pernah bahagia
Selama dengan aku
Itu ucap bibirmu
Kau dustakan semua
Yang kita bina
Kau hancurkan semua
last night i went to Jakarta International Java Soulnation Festival (yep, the one i posted before this entry) to see DJ Spooky performance. i've been a fan of him since 1998 when i was still in elementary school. The first album I ever bought for myself with my own money was The Original Soundtrack of 'Spawn'. Well, i random-bought it actually, without knowing what will it sounds like. There's a collaboration in this album between Metallica & DJ Spooky titled "For Whom The Bell Tolls (The Irony Of It All)" and also a collaboration between Atari Teenage Riot & Slayer titled "No Remorse". fuck, maybe this is my first breakcore experience hahaha. since then, i downloaded some of his songs off audiogalaxy, kazaa, and blogspot. If someone asks "Is there a music artist that truly does every genre?" i think DJ Spooky's the answer (well, mike patton still tops it all lol). From hip hop, drum n bass, rap, dub, breakcore and even jazz. He did it all! I even heard that he's the inventor of this genre named "illbient". Awesome.
What the fuck is wrong with people these days? Well, i know some of his songs aren't really easy listening but i thought people are more open minded with music these days. There were only 3 people who came to see his performance. the performance only lasts less than a hour. too bad. i shouldn't have watched 'tortured soul' the day before yesterday (he performed too the day before yesterday). but the good thing is, we talked. He said that "no one like my music here, everyones leaving.", "you gotta be more vocal about me next time i came here."finally, he gave me one of his mix secret song cd and autographed it. he also gave me his email. he's such a nice dude. see ya next time paul.
